The Nick La Riviere Band features danceable and listenable original songs influenced by artists like Sam Cooke, Jamiroquai, Trombone Shorty, and others. Their recent album, Another Time Around, rich in variety, has received plenty of media attention.
An internationally known trombonist, vocalist and conch shell aficionado, Nick La Riviere has performed in many parts of the world, including Mexico, England, Ireland, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, United States, and across Canada. Nick has toured with award-winning bands that play jazz, folk, pop, Latin, Celtic, klezmer, classical, ska, and more. He’s also known for using a programmable harmonizer with his trombone to make one horn sound like a three-piece section.
Our hour-long evening services are a unique blend of jazz and spirituality. Each service brings together live music from popular local jazz musicians, a brief meaningful message, and a little of the history of the music performed.
