This program will be divided into three sections, Fall, Spring, and Summer. Each month a different religion will be studied including Unitarian Universalism, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and more. Dates through January 2020 are listed below. The later months will be listed as scheduled over Fall 2019. Unless otherwise noted classes are at First Unitarian Church of Victoria and will run 10.30 – 11.45 am.
Separate classes will be offered for youth (grade 6-12) and children (grade 3-5), but both will follow the schedule below and all trips will be joint. Learn more about the program.
Chaperones and drivers may be needed for the offsite visits to various faith communities. If you are willing to be a driver/chaperone for these visits please email Arran. Participants are expected to commit to the program and will not be able to attend the visit without attended the classes relating to that religion or with permission from the Director of Spiritual Exploration and Learning.

January 12 Islam Introduction
We will be introduced to Islam and explore its many contributions to civilization. We will explore connections between Islam and Unitarian Universalism.
January 19 Islam Preparation for service & Visit local Mosque
We will explore the five pillars of Islam at our usually scheduled time (10.30-11.45 am). In the afternoon (1.30-2.30 pm), we will engage respectfully and directly with Islam though a visit to a local mosque. please email Arran if you need information about the trip.
January 26 Islam Debrief
We will thoughtfully reflect on our visit to the mosque.
