Have you ever said something you have regretted? Felt angry or out of control? Wanted everyone to leave you alone? Felt like you are on ‘auto-pilot’? or Been anxious or stressed out? Mindfulness can help!
In this class, you will learn how to apply mindful practices daily life, which will help you deal with difficult emotions, increase focus and concentration, and relax and ground yourself.
Each group will include guided mindfulness practices and opportunities to connect with other youth. The program is open to all youth in grade 9 – 12 (or equivalent age) – No experience or religious affiliation required! Queer, trans, and POC youth, and youth living with a disability are especially welcome.
Dates & Location:
Four Sundays 1—2.30 pm at Saanich Commonwealth Youth Centre:
* May 13th
* June 3rd, 10th & 17th
Plus a half day retreat at First Unitarian Church of Victoria
* June 24: 1 pm—4pm
Fee for participation is $25 for the 5 sessions:
- Members of Victoria Unitarian are free
- Non-members $25
If the fee is a barrier to participation email arran@victoriaunitarian to make a confidential request to have the fee reduced.
Please complete the registration as soon as possible. Participation is limited, so early registration is recommended.
Please note, in the unlikely event that not enough participants register, the program will be postponed or cancelled. In this case, we will let registered participants know on or before May 6th and any fees paid will be refunded.
