Choir & Music

CHALICE CHOIR

Open to all, the Chalice Choir is our main adult choir. No audition, no need to read music. The choir provides an enjoyable opportunity to expand your musical knowledge with a supportive group. Choir members rehearse Thursday evenings in the Sanctuary from 7:30 to 9:30 pm and sing two Sunday mornings a month (September to June), meeting at 9:45 am to warm up. Often December and May can be busier months with seasonal concerts.

MEN’S CHOIR

The Men’s Choir (open to anyone who identifies as male) is for any adult wishing to sing music specially selected for male voices. No audition, no need to read music. The choir meets twice a month on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, before the Chalice Choir rehearsal.

THE JAMMERS (JOYFUL ASSOCIATION OF MUSIC MAKERS)

A small group (10 to 12 people) who love to sing and share their music with seniors living in extended care/nursing facilities. The group performs the last Friday of each month, September to June. It has an 18-year tradition of singing folk songs, golden oldies and action songs. No audition, no need to read music. Practice once a month at the church. New singers are always welcome. Some basic music reading skills are required for this choir. Currently we meet in the Common Room (in the Farmhouse) every Monday morning 10 AM to noon. Performances include providing music leadership in a church service every 5-6 weeks and participation in the church’s winter and spring concerts. UU Heart Beats Drumming Circle

The first sound everyone on Earth hears is the sound of our birthing parent’s heartbeat; our relationship with rhythm begins  in the womb. As human beings we are intrinsically rhythmic, and tapping into our own rhythm as a spiritual practice is a potent source of well-being and healing – especially so when the practice is shared.

The Drumming Circle meets on alternate Sundays at 12 noon, in the Sunflower Room of the Children’s Wing and runs for about an hour/an hour and a half.  Everyone is welcome to join in or drop in and check us out!

For Everyone! Sunday Services

As a congregation we love to sing! Join our regular Sunday worship where we lift our voices in the community of song. We’re truly blessed with rich and varied opportunities to participate in the wonderful gift of music.

Although our congregation features a variety of musical performances, music within the context of worship is not about performance. Rather, music allows people to express their innermost yearnings, their joy and sorrow, their creative energy and spirit.

Sunday Services

Join us at 10:30 a.m. for the Sunday worship service. You can connect by phone or online, or attend in person.
