Environment & Climate Action

As Unitarian Universalists, we uphold our Seventh Principle of respect for the interdependent web of existence, of which we are a part. We pursue environmental justice through our Environment and Climate Action Committee (ECAC). Our projects have included installing EV charging stations on our church grounds at 5575 West Saanich Road, putting solar panels on our roof, building a recycling and compost enclosure for our kitchen, and supporting local actions like the United We Stand declaration and rally. To join the ECAC or find out more, contact Jim Jordan at jimjordanca@outlook.com.

Our church was also the first faith group to join the One Planet Cities project, which uses the One Planet Living principles to create visions and plans for happier, healthier lives for everyone within the limits of our one planet.
