On this Mother’s Day, we’ll look more broadly at the ways in which we need to be open and imaginative in relating to our family members. Often we create a role or part for each member of our family. In so doing, we define some expectations about who we think they will be or become. We can end up relating to them as who we think they are or expect them to be.
What does it take to let go of our preconceived notions and see them for who they actually are? How does that impact our perceptions of ourselves?
Guest vocalist Stella White will be with us. Many of us enjoyed hearing Stella at Spirited Jazz in January and we’re delighted to have her back with us performing several songs with Jennifer Mitchell on piano and Ian Warrender on guitar.
