Inclusion in a Noisy World –
Rev Melora Lynngood with
Jesse Invik, Worship Associate –
Why does everyone and their brother have autism or ADHD these days? As a parent with a kid with autism, it’s a question I’ve pondered for over a decade.
Were they always there, but just went undiagnosed? Or are there actually more neurodiverse people now than there used to be? Is there something about the way society has evolved that makes it harder on people on the autism spectrum?
As we begin to explore February’s theme of the Practice of Inclusion, this Sunday we’ll look at some of the challenges and complexities faced by people on the spectrum, and, based on Universal Design, wonder if there may be ways to make contemporary life more livable for all of us.
