The First Unitarian Church of Victoria Foundation was established to promote our principles and values. Contributions to the Foundations are invested with the Victoria Foundation. Income from these funds is dedicated to supporting First Nations education at Camosun College, and the music and social responsibility programs of the church.
2025 Award Recipients
The Camosun College students receiving awards from First Unitarian Church of Victoria Foundation in 2025 were Karen Sampson from the Tsartlip First Nation and Annette Marks from the Tsawout First Nation. The awards are for students studying in Trades or Health and Human Services.
Karen completed the Early Learning and Care Program and looks forward to spending the summer learning more of the SENĆOŦEN language. Annette is in the Health Care Assistant program.
Gela Stach and Evelyn Peters attended the March 27th ceremony where the awards were presented. It was touching to hear the challenges many of the recipients faced and the ways in which these awards make a difference in their lives.
The Unitarian Church Foundation expresses its gratitude for the support of the Jobson Family for Indigenous Students.
