The Big Questions: Exploring questions of belief and meaning with Rev. Shana
One of the things that is so engaging about being part of a Unitarian Universalist community is the fact that while we share the same values, we don’t necessarily share the same beliefs. We can learn and deepen in our own beliefs and practices by hearing one another reflect on where we have found a sense of purpose and meaning in our own lives. We’ll explore two of the questions the great religious traditions of the world have grappled with. Come to one or both gatherings, attend on Zoom or in person. Please email me to register so I can send you some additional fodder for reflection and the Zoom link a week before we gather.
April’s question:
Do you have a concept of a God or Higher Power? Is there anything that you envision beyond the individual self or individual ego that is valuable to you? Do you consider yourself an atheist? Agnostic? Theist? None of these?
These gatherings around the questions of God will occur on Zoom, Wednesday, April 2nd from 7 to 8:30 pm, or in person on Sunday, May 4th from noon to 1:30 pm.
May’s question:
What do you believe about what happens after death? (See more details about the May event here.)
I hope you’ll join me if these are questions with which you wrestle, or are ones you’d like to share and hear answers to.
