A 30-year veteran of the Canadian music scene, Richard Moody has toured the world and delved into almost every style a string player can. After an education in classical viola at the University of Manitoba and the Conservatoire Nationale de Musique in Caen, France, he co-founded the folk-rock group Acoustically Inclined, garnering national acclaim.
Richard’s affinity for Jazz, and his love for the art led to the recent recording of “Explorations on Jazz Violin”, released on vinyl, CD, and streaming. This nod to greats like Stephane Grappelli and Joe Venuti, with a straight-ahead ’50s vibe, is a tribute to the art of jazz violin.
