This workshop, led by David Hatfield, will be held at UUCV on Saturday, November 22nd, from 10 am to 2 pm — the day before he speaks at the UUCV Sunday service. Please note that there is a modest charge for this event to help offset the costs of inviting David over to share his expertise.
In the complexities of daily living, relationships and work, we men can lose our sense of direction or purpose. Life transitions, parenting, challenging emotions or dull routines can leave us feeling dissatisfied, a bit lonely or facing difficult questions. And as always, things are changing. Codes of masculinity are shifting, and men are learning how to go past traditional ideas of manhood.
Whether life is going well or you have some things to sort out, you’ll find inspiration, resources, and support for your learning and growth at this event. We’ll spend time getting to know ourselves and each other in a mix of conversations and experiential activities. Together, we’ll create a space to have fun, try out some new things, and share stories, humour, and knowledge. All those identifying as men are welcome. Diversity is strength: men of diverse ages, races, sexual orientations, and viewpoints are welcome.
By gathering together to explore who we are, and getting more real with ourselves and each other, we discover what’s authentically important to us. It’s a powerful and enriching gift we give to each other through our presence in a circle of men. Come and help make it happen.
Early registration helps us plan– thank you!
Cost includes workshop & lunch: $30 for UUCV members / $40 non-members.
