Cutting the Ties that Bind? –

A lot has been said about how to nurture relationships, about how to work through conflict in a healthy way, how to forgive and heal and move on in deeper, stronger relationship. What happens when it doesn’t work out that way? 
As we shift from October’s theme of ‘cultivating relationship’ to November’s theme of ‘holding history,’ this Sunday we look at the more challenging relationships that have shaped our history. What happens when, try as we might, we just don’t get each other? When we have nothing in common?
Or, worse, what happens when the hurt and anger are so repeated and entrenched, there seems to be no path toward redemption?
