Ingathering Sunday: On this Sunday when we begin a new year in the life of our congregation, we kick off the theme: “the path of belonging”. A sense of belonging is powerful, and it can be unclear and even fraught. To whom do we belong? In a capitalist milieu that sees belonging as connected to ownership, how do we see our belonging as connections that hold but don’t bind? We’ll reflect on the commitments and places of belonging in our lives that have shaped us, and imagine the future of our interconnectedness.
