AIDS in Africa and the Work of Canadian and African Grandmothers

Phyllis Webster – Phyllis has lived and taught in South Africa. In 1965 at the height of Apartheid, she taught in a privileged white school during the day and volunteered at an evening school on the Cape Flats where she taught black African students. In 2000 she volunteered in Africa. Her other teaching experiences include time in Australia, England, Costa Rica, Argentina and 21 years at The Collegiate at the University of Winnipeg. She now volunteers with the Victoria Grandmothers for Africa.
