Jim Hemstock – Based on his experience in Uganda, Jim Hemstock will recount some of his experiences in a post-conflict society as survivors grappled with reconciliation and forgiveness following many years of war involving child soldiers and atrocities. This is our annual service for the Unitarian Universalist-United Nations Organization. The full collection will go to support the work of our representatives at the UN.
Jim is a consulting engineer by day, but he and his wife Nancy were in Uganda in 2005 with a group of Royal Roads University students doing a Masters Degree in Human Security and Peacebuilding. The research involved collecting stories in villages.
