Mother’s Day and Peace Bells

Reverend Melora Lynngood – We take a look at Mothers’ Day, as it was originally conceived and proposed by Unitarian Julia Ward Howe in 1870, as a call for women to unite for peace and stand against war. How might Howe’s pacifist vision speak to Unitarian Universalists today, 140 years later? The service will involve the ringing of Peace Bells.
