Motherhood: Ideal vs. Real

Rev. Melora Lynngood – The ideal of motherhood can be hard for mothers to live up to. Our culture’s idealization of the mother-child relationship can be hard on others as well. Today, we hold together the ideal and the real, honouring both what is good and what is sometimes hard in this human relationship. You are invited to bring to church photos or mementos of your mothers or mother figures to place on our altar table.
