Mary-Wynne Ashford – “Waste Nothing” is the English translation of a traditional Japanese concept, “Mottainai”. It refers to the sacred nature of all the gifts we have in this life: our time, our resources, our talents, our life experience, our spirit….
“Mottainai” calls upon us to be mindful of living with gratitude for all we are given, and careful about what we throw away.
