10:30 a.m. – Dr. Paul Bramadat – What does it mean to say we live in a secular society, or that our political and legal systems are characterized by secularism? What happens when you see old patterns in a new way? What about society itself seeing with fresh eyes? Less division, more inclusion perhaps? The answers are far less clear than many of us think. In this sermon Dr. Bramadat, Director of the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society at the University of Vicoria, helps us enter into these controversial questions by reflecting on some recent public controversies.
