The Life of an Iranian Woman

Sunday, Nov. 14, 10:30 am –

The Life of an Iranian Woman

Sepideh Heydari, homilist –

We humans have a tendency to only praise the iconic figures who made a name throughout history. Although crucial, this tenet excludes almost everybody else, especially those who paved the way for others to shine, and those who did not get credit where credit was due.  Which version of history will you hold? Join us to hear about the life of an Iranian woman among other unsung women and to get a peek inside Iran that is less frequently spoken of.

Sepideh Heydari moved to Victoria in 2012 from Iran and started attending Capital UU in March 2019. She completed her doctorate at the University of Victoria and is currently working at UVic as a research scientist.
