Buffy Sainte-Marie is a Cree singer-songwriter, musician, composer, visual
artist, educator, pacifist, and social activist. In this service Rev. Samaya will highlight Buffy’s compassion and voice for Indigenous issues.
Reverend Samaya currently serves the South Fraser Unitarian Congregation as Minister and is Secretary for the Executive Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Ministers of Canada (UUMOC). She also co-chairs a task force of the Canadian Unitarian Council’s Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Reflection Guide — a task force that is in the midst of creating reflection guides for Canadian Unitarian congregations around issues of the Indian Residential School system and its impact. She has been involved in Unitarian Universalism regionally, nationally and on the continent for more than 20 years. Donate
