What Does it Mean to Be Equal? –
Rev. Shana Lynngood –
Rosemary Harrison, Worship Associate
In – of all places – a sports article by William C. Rhoden, I saw this quotation: “When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.” Which got me to thinking about what equality not only means, but feels like. How different would our world be if every person in the world felt they were the equal of everyone else? How do we create true and lasting equality?
We are excited to welcome home Tuli Porcher, professional musician and member of our community while growing up, daughter of Laura Porcher and granddaughter of Gladys. At age 25, Tuli has already been a part of many accomplished B.C. based groups such as Coastline, directed by Ivonne Hernandez, and The BC Fiddle Orchestra, directed by Daniel Lapp, with whom she was able to tour Scotland (Aberdeen International Youth Festival), Ireland, and the Maritimes.
Tuli now lives on PEI and plays music professionally as part of Celtic/Folk group, Inn Echo, https://innechomusic.com/about
